1) What is Delivery By Dave?
Delivery By Dave is a concierge level shopping and delivery service. Your list. Your store. Shopping Simplified.
2) What stores do you shop at?
What stores *don't* I shop at? You name it, I shop it. Anything from the old standbys of Publix, Target, and Whole Foods to specialty locations like Trader Joe's, Wright's Gourmet House and Mazzarro's. I do not shop at WalMart.
3) What is different between you and the corporate delivery services?
I'm not corporate. You will always have me as your shopper, so I will learn your tastes as time goes on, meaning less communication is needed. It will always be personal and on your terms. I can mix and match multiple stores on the same run.
4) What will this cost me?
My research and data indicate you will save on almost every order, if you are currently using a corporate service . Although admittedly the fees are more "in your face" than with the corporate guys, it is generally less expensive. I charge a set delivery fee based on store and there is a gratuity added. We each pay a processing fee to the platform provider. There are no markups whatsoever. You pay the store price. No. Matter. What. You also get all in store specials, BOGOs, and available coupons. The other guys will add on roughly 20-30% per item (see examples here)and do not necessarily honor in store sales. In addition, if an item is out, the shopper does not have the freedom to stop elsewhere while en route to quickly grab that missing item when possible.
***Please note that the platform provider recently changed their process where gratuities can be added at the end of the order instead of the beginning. Please also note that my system is set up where I make the majority of my income from those gratuities by providing service you won't find elsewhere. Therefore I cannot afford to run my business without said gratuities. If you cannot afford an appropriate gratuity then unfortunately my service may not be for you.***
5) Item not in the app?
Doesn't matter! Send me your list any way you want and I'll shop it! The in app list can be as simple as 1 item "see list sent by text." The app just serves as a placeholder for funding.
6) What about membership stores?
I hold memberships to Costco, Sam's, and BJs. So no membership, no problem. You can still order and get all the great deals and special items those stores carry. In addition, regardless of the warehouse being near you, I will still service it for you. *additional fee may apply.
7) What if I want to order from more than 1 store?
In most cases, orders for more than 1 store at the same time, will receive a $5 credit for each additional store.
8) What about Trader Joe's, as there are only 2 in our area?
Same as above. Regardless of where you live, I can and do shop TJs. I always carry cooler bags with me, so no worries about your food on my travels! *additional fee may apply.
